It is a gross act of dishonesty, impersonation and hiding of fact for bible translators to tell us that God created the heaven and the earth in Genesis 1:1, whereas Moses who authored Genesis 1:1 had known name of this God before writing Genesis and other books. I agree that God refers to deity of worship and reverence but there are many deities including human beings and each has name. Do you still believe that God is the name of who created the heaven and earth? If you do, it is because you are careless over things. Consider this: There are Gods many, so how would one know their differences?
Call of Moses
Moses had encountered God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in Midian before he returned back to Egypt to confront King of Egypt to let Israel go and worship Yahweh God in the wilderness! (Exodus 3) If Moses was not the author of Genesis, who wrote it because; it is on record that Moses was told God’s name before every other revelation. He knew Yahweh God before he led the children of Israel out of Egypt. Moses knew Yahweh God before he wrote Genesis. Yes, I mean it. Think about it. Then smile!!! Therefore, no person knows the true God prior to his conversion and calling. Yahweh God is the only true God. He is the mighty one of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and this was his remarks when he was talking to Moses in the burning bush or will I say un-burning bush on fire?
How would Moses be writing about God he did not know if he did not know his name? Through encounter, Moses knew the true God and his name. Moses did not author only Genesis in the Bible; he authored four more books. I read Moses’ burning bush encounter and how the unknown voice sending him to the King of Egypt to demand that he should let Israel go. Moses stood his stand to know who was sending him. Translators told us that God spoke to Moses. I am worried because Moses still wanted to know his name. If Moses had known this God why was he demanding for his name again? Exodus 3:13-15 (RSV) resolves the name of who spoke to Moses in the burning bush as Yahweh the root word ‘I am who I am’. ‘I am’ in Hebrew is ‘Ayar Asher Ayar’. Still ‘I am who I am’ is not the name because Moses did not accept it as thus. Upon Moses’ persistence to be told his name, the voice said to Moses, ‘say to the Israelites, The LORD , Elohim (translated God in English) of your fathers, Avi Abraham, Avi Isaac and Avi Yakob has sent me to you. This is my name forever, the name which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. What is this Name?
Reading the text and seeing ‘The LORD’ without the upper script c, one concludes that, ‘The LORD’ is the name of God who appeared to Moses in the burning bush at Midian. But this is not true! The LORD with indefinite article ‘the’ is not Name! Personal and proper Name is not attached to ‘the’. Therefore, I believe that careful eyes see the upper script to and what it refers to, which is YHWH, pronounced Yahweh. Regrettably, translators deliberately hid God’s name under footnote of many Bible Versions including RSV.
Moses had encountered Yahweh before he began to author the first Book in the Bible called Genesis. Why did the translators not state the name given to Moses in the beginning of Genesis?
Genesis in the Bible
I believe that documentation of scriptures started with Moses, after his burning bush experience. This was the call of Moses. Genesis was not inspired by unknown God before Moses and his burning bush spectacle. The beginning of Genesis would have been, ‘In the beginning, Yahweh created the heaven and the earth…’ since Moses had been told his name. God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob is not name for there are many Gods (or gods) from which the Creator should distinguish himself from.
YHWH, Jews and plan of Salvation
Moses encountered YHWH and the Jews believed. Yahweh is the being who led Israel out of Egypt. Yahweh is the God of heaven and God of the Hebrews. It was Yahweh God who gave Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. And Israel call Yahweh, father.
Name of born child prophesied
In the days of Ahaz, King of Judah, Isaiah 7:14 prophesied, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanu-el. It was Isaiah the prophet who prophesied concerning the birth of a child and given of a son and given his details in 804 BC (Isaiah 9:6-7): ‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever ..’This prophecy was fulfilled in 4 BC when Virgin Mary a Jew, got became and gave birth to a son but given a different name. Greek translators did this.
The Jews were familiar with mighty God, everlasting father. They knew YHWH but I was not sure Jews were aware of Isaiah’s prophecy, because John wrote that the son came to his own and his own received him not (John 1:11). Before Mary gave birth, there was this conversation between she and Elizabeth: And Mary said, whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? , My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour (Luke 1:43, 46-47).
In Matthew 1: 21-25, translators recorded, ‘And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet (Isaiah is missing), saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS’. Regrettably, Luke’s account was incomplete to behold. It omitted the prophesy and the name Immanuel, contained in Isaiah 7:14.
I find it worrisome that there is an interjection into the prophecy of Isaiah. There is nothing like Jesus among the list of titles he provided in Chapter 9:6. This is how I detect false pen of the Scribes and translators and the enemies of truth and true translation. The name of the born child was never Jesus because; Mary identified herself as ‘Mother of the Lord’ and ‘God my Saviour’. Mary did not affirm, Mother of JESUS or JESUS my Saviour. There is nothing as Mother of JESUS and JESUS My Saviour.
Consider the prophesy: She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sin”. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the Prophet (translators omitted the prophet’s name which is Isaiah). The Virgin will be with child and they shall call him Immanuel- which means God with us’ (Matthew 1:21-23). Matthew quoted Isaiah 7:14; 8:8,10. Why did translators smuggle JESUS, a Greek name as the name fulfilling Isaiah’s prophesy instead of Immanuel stated in the prophesy? Note: I did not think Immanuel is Jesus and Jesus is not Immanuel.
I believe that the born child was named Immanuel. I did not believe that any Angel announced to Mary that her intending son should be called Jesus if Isaiah’s prophecy is potent. Inclusion of the Greek name Iesus/Jesus was cloned by man. Amazingly, the child grew up and talked to the Jews himself. First and foremost, He taught his Disciples how to pray: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name’…. Then, which Name?
I have told you that Jews were familiar with Yahweh. In another development, He confronted the Jews and said to them, I am come in my Father’s Name (John 5:43) and you received me not, if another will come in his own name, him you will accept. Again, in Matthew 7:21, He warns saying, ‘Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord (not Jesus, Jesus) will enter into the kingdom of heaven…’
Ministry of Immanuel my Saviour began after his baptism in the fall of 27 AD (month of October) at the age of 30 years. Apart from the Apostles who listened to the Messiah, the only documents in place were Scrolls of Law and Prophets. This was regularly referred to as the law, Law of Moses or the scripture. The Messiah referred to it and the Apostles did the same. The scriptures in the days of the Apostles were called Law and the prophets (Matthew 22:40).
There were no apostolic writings in place at that time. Apostle Saul (nicknamed Paul) was called afterward, in 34 AD. What I am saying is that at that time, there were no New Testament books. The last Apostle died about 100 AD while the New Testament Books were complied in 350 AD by those who persecuted them. There was scripture and the disciples referred to it but translators branded it Old Testament. Christ quoted scripture in Matthew 15:7; 24:15 and Luke 4:17. The Literatures available then was what Paul affirmed to Timothy as scripture, ‘All scriptures’. Apostles depended upon the scripture as not every statement made by the Apostles is a component of scripture. Not at all!
Consider this scenario: The Saviour asserts his oneness with the Father, ‘I and my Father are one’. They are working in unity, not that both is one being. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Yahweh answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, ‘For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makes thyself God’ (John 10:31-33). ‘God’s name is Yahweh’
Before the Messiah departed to heaven
The Messiah prayed for his disciples, Father, ‘I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them (John 17:6, 12. 26).
After Messiah departed
The problem between the Jews and the Messiah was his claim to be God. This was why he was accused of blasphemy. Blasphemy is to stand in the position of the Most High or usurp divine prerogatives. Jews believe that Yahweh is invisible and that it is inappropriate for any mere man to claim he had even seen Yahweh let alone claim, he came down from heaven. Blasphemy, Blasphemy, blasphemy, the Jews alleged Immanuel committed.
Name above every name
I believe that Bible translators assisted in falsifying many statements made by the Apostles. Few of these things included the name of Jesus. The title Christ is different thing entirely. It is Greek version of Messiah, which in English, means Anointed. This is okay, not bad at all.
Translators told Bible Readers that the name of Jesus is above every name. This is not correct because, it cannot be above the name of who gave him name. In John 5:43, Christ, Messiah affirms, “I am come in my father’s name”. The father’s name is above every name, not the name Jesus, not even Immanuel which means, El (God/Might One is) with us.
Having this in mind, crafty translators of English Bible have imposed upon us that Jesus is the Name above every other names. Apostle Paul writes, ‘Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth’(Philippians 2:9-10). Did you know Paul quoted Isaiah 45:23? In this text, what is there, is Lord which translators substituted for Yahweh.
Apostle Peter misquoted
Again, Translators erred, misquoting Apostle Peter: They accredited him saying, ‘Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’ (Acts 4:12). Do you believe Peter said that? This is in sharp disagreement with the sermon of Christ in John 4:22: Christ whom the woman addressed as Prophet said said to her, ‘You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. Do you believe that salvation is of the Jews because it is written in the Bible? Is Christ, Jew and did the Jews receive him? Christ came down from heaven, he is not Jew although, he came to Jewish nation. I believe ‘salvation is of the Jews’ is a wrong translation noting that prophet /Christ quoted Jonah 2:10b for the woman. Quoting the scripture was Christ’s practice to prove his points.
Jonah 2:10b KJV writes, ‘But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. The truth is that salvation is of Yahweh but translators substituted salvation is of the Lord with salvation is of the Jews in John 4:22.
Yahweh is the name above every name! If Peter believed that no person in history had been given the name Jesus, I found this assertion laughable, because Joshua is the Hebrew version of Jesus. Joshua, son of Nun was the name of the leader of the Jews after Moses departed (Numbers 13:16). Joshua is correctly spelt as Yeshua, though some spell it as Yahshua or Yahoshua. Therefore, name Yeshua or Yahshua or Yahoshua had been given and answered among men under heaven in past. Peter would not have mentioned Jesus because it is a Greek name. Far back then, it was spelt Iesous or Iesus (KJV 1611) or Iesum (in Latin). I believe we should not play with God’s holy name (Exodus 20:7).
The Messiah and his Name
Messiah said to the Jews, I am come in my Father’s name (John 5:43). There you are! If you know Yahweh, this is the son’s name too. Consider the following: Luke 1:43 writes of Mary. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord (not Jesus) should come to me? Again, Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord (and not Jesus), (Luke 1:46) and in Luke 1:47, she said, ‘And my spirit hath rejoiced in God (and not Jesus) my Saviour’ (Luke 1:47). Mary uses Lord and God and they refer to Yahweh if we will be honest with truth. This is how I discovered false pen of the translators and knew that some non- biblical items were added and subtracted. They are uncalled and greatly misleading.
The Jews and Yahweh in flesh
The Messiah/ Christ/ the Anointed one told the Jews; ‘I and my Father are one’ (John 10: 30). Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him (John 10:31). Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me? (John 10:32). The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God (John 10:33 KJV). No person would have picked stone against him if not his claim to be God. Though he is, the Jews could not figure it out till this very day.
The Greatest Mistake
The Jews were familiar with the name YHWH. They were calling upon this name until the time of Isaiah when Israel drifted again into apostasy: Read this: YHWH asked Israel, who says, keep away, don’t come near me for I am too sacred for you, such people are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that keeps burning all day (Isaiah 65: 5).
Isaiah testified that Israel discontinued using the name, Yahweh out of superstition of their invention. This is what gave other nations impression to embrace substitutes. Every other name of god refers to a tribal local deity just as Micayah 4:5 Holy Name Scripture remarks, “For all people will walk everyone in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of YHWH our God forever and ever”
The greatest mistake by translators is in translating and substituting God’s name into confusing titles. Name is never translated, but transliterated. Names are carried from the tongue to another. The sound should be the same and not necessarily spelling. I hold to this view because the Creator warned Moses saying; This is my name forever, the name which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.
The True Confession
The Preface of Revised Standard Version of the Bible exposes the shocking atrocity: “The Revised Standard Version exposes that American Standard Version was a revision of King James Version published in 1611 and that King James Version has grave defects. It goes on to reveal that “The major departure from the practice of American Standard Version is the rendering of the Divine Name, the “Tetragrammaton”. The American Standard Version used the term Jehovah; the King James Version had employed this in four places, but elsewhere, except in three cases where it is employed as part of a proper name, used the English word LORD (or in certain cases GOD) printed in capitals. The present revision returns to the procedure of the King James Version, which follows the precedent of the ancient Greeks and Latin translators and the long established
practice in reading the Hebrew scriptures in the synagogue. While it is almost certain that the Name was originally pronounced, “Yahweh”, this pronunciation was not indicated when the Masoretes added vowel signs to the consonantal Hebrew text. To the four consonants, YHWH of the Name which had come to be regarded too sacred to be pronounced, they attached vowel signs indicating that in its place should be read the Hebrew word Adonai meaning “Lord” (or Elohim meaning “God”). The ancient Greek translators substituted the word Kyrios (Lord) for the Name. The Vulgate likewise used the Latin word Dominus. The form “Jehovah” is of late medieval origin; it is a combination of the consonants of the Divine Name and the vowels attached to it by the Masoretes but belonging to an entirely different word. The sound of Y is represented by J and the sound of W by V as in Latin. For two reasons the Committee (of The Revised Standard Version translators) has returned to the more familiar usage of the King James Version: (1)the word “Jehovah” does not accurately represent any form of the Name ever used in Hebrew; and (2) the use of any proper name for the one and only God, as though there were other gods from who He had to be distinguished was discontinued in Judaism before the Christian era and it is entirely inappropriate for the universal faith of the Christian Church”.
(Source: Preface of Revised Standard Version of the Bible, paragraphs 1, 7, 17, copyright 1952).
There are about 3500 versions of the Bible already! There are variations from one version to another. It is believed that translations from an original language might not be properly represented into another language. Bible came to us form the Hebrews and everything about this race is tied to agriculture. Again, Hebrews are concerned with function and never form. What one does and not how one is looking. This is why the description of the Messiah in Isaiah 53, is not comely, no beauty at all. True love does not look at facial outlook. It is all about attitude. Attitude is better than a horrible beauty. On the part of the Greek, it is concerned with form. Greeks are concerned with outward appearance and form. Greeks would describe pencil but not what it is used for. Greeks would describe for you house and will not tell you people live inside it. Greeks seek knowledge but do not put it into practice. This is Greek for you.
The Wrong Imposition
Peter the Apostle proclaimed that God has given Jesus a name above all names. Do you believe that Jesus is the name above all names because Peter said so? I believe that supposing God is name, the name Peter is talking about should be God, for there is no way name Jesus should be above the name God. Again Peter said. there is no other name given among men through which we shall be saved but the name Jesus, I do not think that translators were right because the name of Moses’ successor was Yeshua (wrongly spelt Joshua) which is equivalent to Jesus (Iesus in KJV,1611). Yeshua is Hebrew while Jesus Greek- English merger. To say, Jesus of Nazareth is a gross impersonation for Jesus and Nazareth are two walls apart. Jews and Greeks do not agree in anything. Jews and Greeks worship different deities. Sorry, many people did not know this.
The Right Scripture
The Bible alone presents orderly and true revelations from the Almighty. Christians believe the name above all names is Jesus. It is not that I doubt the name but the English letter ‘J’ was created in 1665 AD and used for the first time in 1775. What was Jesus called in 1500 AD? Certainly, not what you think! I have the first publication of King James Version (1611) and there is no word that begins with letter J. Again, there is no letter J in Hebrew’s alphabets till this day. Therefore, truth is only what will endure forever. Truth is worth seeking and embracing. Truth will make you free when you know it.
Revelation 19:11-13 writes, ‘And I saw heaven opened (at the second coming), and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called, The Word of God’. How much of the Word of God do you hold on?
I hope this helps!
